Maha A. Assi, MD, MPH received her medical degree and completed her internship at the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. She did her residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, and also received her Masters in Public Health from the University of Kansas. She completed her Infectious Disease Fellowship at the University of Kansas, Kansas City, KS. She also completed a Fellowship in Transplant Infectious Disease at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
Dr. Assi holds an academic appointment of Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. She also holds the appointment of Adjunct Clinical Preceptor for A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor in Infectious Disease from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Assi is Board Certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine.
